Caldwell County senior Jabrion Spikes eclipsed his own single-game scoring record on Tuesday with a 59-point performance in an 80-77 setback at Hopkinsville.
Spikes had set the Caldwell school record with 51 points earlier this season in a win at Dawson Springs.
With Caldwell shorthanded, Spikes had to pick up more of the scoring load, and his point total increased in each quarter.
He had nine points in the opening frame, 13 in the second, 15 in the third and 22 points in the fourth quarter.
He was 23 of 39 from the field and also grabbed 14 rebounds in the contest.
