There aren’t many 2nd Region basketball teams that have had Christian County’s number on the hardwood in the past decade, but Webster County has shown itself to be one of those teams.

The Lady Trojans hit nine 3-pointers and held the Lady Colonels to single-digit scoring in a pair of quarters as they hammered Christian County 58-28 Thursday in Dixon.

Mary Kate Rakestraw scored 10 of her 19 points in the first quarter as Webster built a 22-10 lead. Up 30-15 at halftime, Reagan Price scored 10 points in the third quarter as Webster County built a 46-25 lead. Price finished with 14 points.

Hannah Yates knocked down five 3-pointers for Webster and finished with 15 points.

The Lady Colonels hit five 3-pointers as Evonna McGregor nailed three of them for a team-high nine points.
