Lady Colonels Take Down Logan County to go 2-0

Make it two in a row for the Christian County Lady Colonels to start the season. The Lady Colonels scored in each of their last five at-bats to pick up a 6-1 road win Thursday evening at Logan County.

The Lady Colonels scored two runs in the top of the third and then one run in every inning after to get the victory.

After a Pickle Winkler single to lead off the top of the third, Avery Adcock sent one over the left field fence to give Christian County a 2-0 lead.

Logan County cut the lead to one in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI single from Grayce Mefford.

Christian County would get that run back on an RBI double from Chloe Craft in the fourth. Gracie Harned delivered an RBI single in the top of the 5th to push the lead out to 4-1. The Lady Colonels would take advantage of a Logan County error to score a run in the top of the 6th.

The Lady Colonels would add an insurance run in the top of the 7th to wrap up the scoring.

A big game for Avery Adcock, who went 3-3, with a home run, a double, and 2 RBIs. Allie Houchens was 2-2 with a pair of runs scored. Chloe Craft finished 1-3 with a double and an RBI.

Gracie Harned went six innings in the circle to get the win, giving up one run on seven hits, striking out four, and walking three.
