Many of the so-called high school basketball experts did not give the Lyon County Lyons much of a chance headed into the quarterfinal round game with Covington Catholic Friday night. However, the Lyons showed the experts they belonged on the court with any team in the state in a 59-57 loss to the Colonels. The Lyons’ Nick Whalin was asked about what it took to stay in the game until the very end.
