Christian County High School senior Riley Johnson was one of the most improved golfers in the region over the past two seasons. She looks to continue that improvement at the college level after signing Tuesday to play Brescia University.
Johnson finished 23rd at the 2020 region tournament and followed that up with a top-20 finish last fall.
Johnson shot a career-best round of 85 at the Hopkinsville Invitational to finish in fourth place.
Her best round of the season came at the Ballard Memorial Invitational where she shot a round of 84 to finish in 8th place.
Johnson said she chose the Owensboro school because of its proximity to Hopkinsville and the chance to improve her game at some of the best golf courses in the area.
She said she is undecided on her college path of study.
