
The Caldwell County Lady Tiger softball team is 3-2 after dismissing Fort Campbell 13-0 in five innings Thursday at the Ratliff Park Complex in Princeton.
Illysa Stallins allowed just one hit through four innings and Alexis Wood pitched the fifth inning, shutting out Fort Campbell on two hits.
Alicia Stanley slammed a two-run home run as part of a five-run second inning that gave the Lady Tiger a 6-0 lead.
Brylee Butts tripled home a pair of runs in the bottom of the third inning to help Caldwell stretch its advantage to 10-0.
Caldwell added three more runs in the home half of the fourth, then finished off the game on the 10-run mercy rule by blanking the Lady Falcons in the top of the fifth.
Stanley finished the day 2-for-2 with the two runs batted in for the Lady Tigers. Butts was 2-for-3 and drove in two while Presley McKinney also went 2-for-3 and knocked in a pair of runs.
Katelyn Griffy had a double to lead Fort Campbell.
Caldwell is now 8-0 all-time against the Lady Falcons.
The Lady Tigers have a home makeup date against Livingston Central Friday.
Fort Campbell (0-1) visits Christian Fellowship School on Friday.
