After a successful first season in cross country, Hopkinsville eighth-grader Lauren Mayes is making the transition to track and field. So far, it’s been a smooth one.
Mayes finished in second place in the 3200-meter run at Saturday’s Invitational of the South and coupled that with a fourth-place finish in the 1600-meter run.
