Caldwell’s Girls Top Paducah Tennis Team 7-3 (w/PHOTOS)

Caldwell County’s girls took six of seven singles matches while defeating the Paducah Home School team 7-3 Thursday in Princeton.

The teams took advantage of the week’s best weather so far to get in 10 mostly-competitive matches at the CCHS tennis courts.

In singles action:
Harmony Prude (PHS) defeated Josie Shaffer 8-1;
Rachel McClung (CC) def. Remember Arterburn 8-4;
Keegan Miller (CC) def. Rebecah Arterburn 8-6;
Avery Ritchey (CC) def. Marianna Hereford 8-6;
Emma Peake (CC) def. Jaye Williams 8-1;
Bella Stewart (CC) def. Meron Wilson 9-7;
Meleah Greenfield (CC) def. Lydia McComb 8-2.

In doubles:
McClung/Miller (CC) def. Prude/Hereford 8-4;
Arterburn/Arterburn (PHS) def. Ritchey/Shaffer 8-3;
Williams/Wilson (PHS) def. Laykia Matchem/Ella Johnson 8-4.

Caldwell tennis is next scheduled to play at Madisonville-North Hopkins on Monday.
