Lady Colonels Take Care of Mercy in Slugfest

The Christian County Lady Colonels got a big night from Karlee Crick and picked up a big win in their first game in the Marshall County Slugfest Friday night. Crick drove in five runs and the Lady Colonels took down Mercy in five innings 13-2.

After falling behind 2-1 in the bottom of the second, the Lady Colonels got their bats to wake up and owned the final three innings. Christian County scored 3 in the third, 5 in the fourth, and four more in the fifth to take care of the Lady Jaguars.

Christian County pounded out 13 hits on their way to scoring the 13 runs.

Karlee Crick ended the game 2-3 with 5 RBIs to lead the way for the Lady Colonels. Gracie Harned was 3-4 with a double and two RBIs. Chloe Craft finished up 3-3 with three runs scored.

Avery Adcock had another big night for Christian County. She went 2-4 with two doubles, two RBIs, and three runs scored.

In the circle, Riley Hancock went the distance for the Lady Colonels. Giving up just the two runs on four hits, while striking out six.

Christian County now moves to 11-3 on the season. The Lady Colonels are set to take on McCracken County Saturday afternoon at 2 pm in the Slugfest. The game against South Warren that had also been scheduled for Saturday has been canceled.
