
The Christian County Lady Colonels wrapped up a long week on the road with a solid win Friday night. Christian County got a quality start from Gracie Harned in the circle as they picked up a 5-1 road win at Graves County.
Harned gave up one unearned run on five hits over 5 2/3-innings of work to lead the Lady Colonel effort.
Meanwhile, the Christian County offense scored a run in the first and two more in the third to take a 3-0 lead.
Graves County started a rally in the bottom of the 6th, scoring a run to cut the lead to 3-1. However, Riley Hancock came in to pitch in relief and slammed the door on any comeback attempt by the Lady Eagles.
Another big night for Avery Adcock. She finished the game 4-4 with a double and three RBIs. Karlie Crick was 1-3 with two runs driven in for Christian County.
In picking up the win, Harned struck out three and walked five.
Hancock gave up no runs on no hits as she picked up the save.
Christian County moves to 13-6 on the year. They are set to return to action Tuesday at Fort Campbell.
