Miscues in the field were a bit much for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons to overcome Saturday in their game against Christian Fellowship Lady Eagles. The Lady Falcons were charged with six errors as they fell to the Lady Eagles 18-2 in three innings on post.
Christian Fellowship was also able to take advantage of seven walks and three hit batters from two Fort Campbell pitchers.
Christian Fellowship scored six times in the first, three in the second, and then sealed the early win with a nine-run inning in the top of the third. The Lady Eagles had eight hits over the three innings. Three of them were doubles.
Fort Campbell scored both of their runs in the bottom of the first inning. Alexsa Hoffman scored as the result of an error after a bunt single from Yaraseth Cecilio. Cecilio would later score on a passed ball.
Hoffman and Cecilio both finished the game 1-2. They had the only hits in the game for the Lady Falcons.
Fort Campbell is set to return to action in an 8th District contest Tuesday when they host Christian County.
