
The Caldwell County boys and girls tennis teams had no trouble with Fort Campbell on Tuesday, winning all twelve matches with the Falcons, four in straight sets.
On the girls’ side, Caldwell’s Josie Shaffer topped Lauren Anderson 8-6, 6-0. Also in singles play, Rachael McClung won 8-1 over Fort Campbell’s Isabella Espinosa, Keegan Miller was an 8-1 winner over Alex Strens, and Avery Ritchey shut out Adrianna Cuestas 8-0.
In doubles, McClung/Miller breezed past Anderson/Strens 8-2, and Emma Peake and Bella Stewart won 8-6 over Hannah Corrales and Jaeda Hughes.
For the boys, Caldwell’s Ryan Hammett was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over the Falcons’ Derrick Loar. Billy Wallace topped Alec Rhodes 8-4, Nick Adams shutout Brock Sharp 8-0, and Bryce Thompson cruised 8-0 over Aaron Anderson.
In doubles, Wallace and Grayden Miller won 6-1, 6-0 over Rhodes/Sharp, and Cannon and Cason Littlejohn were 8-1 winners over Anderson and Almario Guerrero.
Caldwell County will be back in action on Thursday for Senior Night vs. Lyon County.
