A former Lyon County standout is among 157 Mid-South Conference softball student-athletes who have earned Academic All-Conference honors. The announcement of those honors came Wednesday from conference officials.
In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must be in their third term or fourth quarter.
Sophie Bingham, who is a sophomore at Georgetown College was among those named to the list of honorees.
Cumberlands led all MSC institutions with 24 honorees while Pikeville had the second-most with 21.
