A former standout softball player at Christian County High School was among the athletes honored Wednesday by the University of Kentucky. The 20th annual CATSPY Awards were held at the Central Bank Center to recognize athletic and academic performances during the 2021-22 year in the UK Athletics Department. A total of 61 individuals were recognized as well as nine teams during the ceremony.
Christian County High School grad Emmy Blane was one of two UK athletes presented with the Community Service Award. Blane is a junior member of the UK softball team.
The other athlete presented a Community Service Award was Tori Orcutt from the UK Women’s Swimming and Diving team.
