UHA Comes in 5th Place at Hopkinsville Invite


University Heights Academy took home a fifth-place finish Saturday at the Hopkinsville Invitational held at the Stadium of Champions.

The Blazers scored 78 points – one point behind fourth-place Madisonville and four points behind third-place Todd County Central.


Connor Dill – 1st in the 110-meter hurdles (15.73); 2nd in the 300-meter hurdles (39.97)

Cole Glover – 1st in the 1600-meter run (4:37.39); 2nd in the 3200-meter run (10:42.21)

Sam Cotthoff – 2nd in the shot put (42-9); 4th in the discus throw (115-11)

Griffin McCoy – 3rd in the triple jump (39-1); 21st in the 100-meter dash (12.54); 16th in the 200-meter dash (25.82)

Logan Miller – 7th in the 300-meter hurdles (53.28); 29th in the discus throw (46-2)

Mason Price – 8th in the 100-meter dash (12.04); 8th in the 400-meter dash (55.78)

Clayton Lester – 8th in the high jump (5-2)

Luke Shouse – 13th in the 400-meter dash (57.74)

Trey Wyatt – 15th in the 200-meter dash (25.70); 25th in the 100-meter dash (12.64)

Ray Farmer – 16th in the 1600-meter run (5:36.66)

Hugh Sisk – 17th in the 1600-meter run (5:39.86)

The 3200-meter relay team finished in second place in 9:16.69. The 1600-meter relay team also finished in second place in 3:40.28.

The 800-meter relay team finished in fifth place in 1:36.68.
