
Caldwell County’s Ryan Hammett avenged his only loss of the season and the Tigers edged Henderson County 3-2 in tennis action Friday in Princeton.
Hammett claimed Caldwell’s only singles win, defeating Mason Bridgeman 7-5, 3-6, 13-11. Earlier this year, Bridgeman edged Hammett 7-5, 2-6, 10-8.
Henderson won the other two singles matches, with Thomas Berger defeating Nick Adams 8-4 and Jaxton Duncan beating Cason Littlejohn 8-1.
But Caldwell won both doubles matches to take the team competition.
Billy Wallace and Grayden Miller downed Issac Holland and Braden Dhem 6-0, 7-5, while Bryce Thompson and Adams turned back Carson Weis and Duncan 8-5.
Caldwell’s tennis teams next host University Heights Academy on Monday.
