Union County High School did not have to look far to find its next volleyball coach. School officials announced Monday morning that boys basketball coach Quaid Girten would be expanding his coaching duties to include now being the head coach of the Bravettes volleyball program.
Girten replaces Olivia Watson in the position. Watson had been the head volleyball coach at the school since the start of the 2018 season.
Girten will be looking to start the rebuild process on a program that has lost 41 straight matches. The last win for the Bravettes came on September 9, 2019, when they swept past the Trigg County Lady Wildcats.
The Bravettes’ last trip into the 2nd Region tournament came in 2015.
