A year ago, Caldwell County’s Ryan Hammett teamed with his older brother Jordan to qualify for state as the regional doubles champion.
With Jordan graduated, Ryan is playing in singles action this season.
He will head back to the state tennis tournament as a champion again after claiming the singles title Thursday night in Hopkinsville.
YSE caught up with Ryan Hammett after his 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 triumph in the 2nd Region final.
