
The Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors kicked off a weekend road trip with a big win Friday afternoon. HCA racked up 13 runs in the top of the first on the way to an 18-0 three-inning win over Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg.
Pitching woes plagued Lawrenceburg as they gave up 15 walks and five hit batters. At one point during the big first inning, HCA had 10 straight batters that either walked or were hit by a pitch.
Madison Warren also drove in three runs during the big inning with a bases-loaded triple.
In addition to 13 runs in the first inning, HCA scored three in the second and two more in the third to close out the game after three innings.
Warren ended up 1-1 with 3 RBIs and three runs scored. Kailyn Johnson, Kennedy Hughes, Gracey Bufford, and Kailyn Stanley also had hits for the Lady Warriors.
Kennedy Hughes pitched all three innings, giving up no runs on three hits, striking out four while walking none.
