University Heights’ lone entry in the boys’ state tennis tournament will have an early start to his day Tuesday. The Blazers’ Ethan Alexander advanced to the state tournament by reaching the semifinals of the 2nd Region tennis tournament.
Alexander will hit the courts at 8am Tuesday morning at the University of Kentucky. He will take on Owen Brown, from Grayson County High School. Brown finished as the 3rd Region runner-up for the second consecutive season.
The winner of the match will return to the courts at 1pm to take on Nathaniel Hill, of Corbin.
