Two players that helped Russellville High School win its first fastpitch district softball championship have been honored as All-State selections.

Junior A’Miyah Collier was named Class A First Team All-State by the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association, while senior Jacklyn Zuege was named Second Team All-State.

Collier led the Lady Panthers with a .491 batting average. She smacked 13 home runs and drove in 33 runs while racking up 27 extra-base hits. She was also a perfect 11-for-11 in stolen bases.

In the circle, Collier was 16-7 with a 2.35 ERA. She struck out 112 batters in 116 innings.

Zuege, who has committed to Austin Peay, missed the first half of the season but still managed to hit .467 with two homers and 18 RBI while providing solid infield defense. She struck out just twice in 52 plate appearances.

While the KHSAA does not classify schools for competitive play, the state softball coaches association chooses to break down its postseason awards into three classes.
