A former standout for the Trigg County Wildcat football team will be returning to the field this fall a little closer to home. After initially signing with the U.S. Naval Academy in December of 2019, Cam Jordan announced in a social media post Monday morning that he would be continuing his football and education career at Bethel University.

Jordan, who graduated from Trigg County in 2020, did not see action on the field during his time at the Naval Academy.

Jordan finished his high school career second on the all-time passing list at Trigg County with 4,400 yards. He holds the school record for completions in a game (25) and is second in career completions (318) and tied for third in passing touchdowns (43).

In three seasons as quarterback, Jordan accounted for 87 total touchdowns. He rushed for 2,073 yards and 42 touchdowns at the quarterback spot. In 2019, he threw for 1,857 yards and 21 touchdowns while rushing for 623 yards and 18 scores. He was named All-Western Kentucky Conference and the Kentucky Coaches’ Class 3A District 1 Player of the Year.

Bethel is an NAIA school playing in the Mid-South Conference.
