Lyon County senior Cathryn Brown leads the Cullan Brown Invitational after a 1-under-par 71 in opening-round action Monday at Calvert City.
Brown got off to a quick start, birdying her first hole of the day, which was the 10th hole at Calvert City Golf and Country Club.
Brown went on to record five birdies in the first round. The second round is Tuesday.
