A game that looked initially like a loss for the Hoptown Hoppers in their regular season finale has now moved into the win column. Wednesday night, the Hoppers traveled to South Warren High School to take on the Franklin Duelers in a makeup of a game rained out earlier in the week.

Initially, it looked as if the Hoppers would be tagged with a 15-1 loss. However, the Duelers were charged with using an ineligible player, giving Hoptown a forfeit win over Franklin.

With the forfeit win, the Hoppers will head into the beginning of the postseason having won their last five games and ten of their last eleven.

Hoptown will now begin the playoffs at home Friday evening. First pitch is set for 7pm at Hopkinsville High School.
