Wildcat Golfers Settle for 9th at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club High School Invitational

Once again, Hunter Reynolds led the way for the Trigg County boys golf team, but the Wildcats had a difficult time on Monday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club High School Invitational at the Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club.

Reynolds posted a 38 on the front and a 39 on the final nine holes to finish with a 77, seven shots back of McCracken County’s Camryn Beatty.  Beatty topped Daviess County’s Grant Broughton in a playoff.  McCracken also won the team title with a score of 304.

Ty Butts was next for the Wildcats with an 83, followed closely by Haydon Reynolds with an 84.  Matthew Leeper shot a 93, and Aydan Joiner finished with a 102.  Trigg finished with a total score of 337.

The Wildcats will be back on the course on Thursday when they hit the road for the Muhlenberg County Invitational at Central City Country Club.
