Ohio County Blanks Wildcats 10-0

Ohio County scored five goals in each half to hand Trigg County a 10-0 setback Thursday at Josh Nichols Field.

The Eagles wasted little time getting on the scoreboard with Gavin Peach scoring three minutes into the contest.

Ohio County (1-2) scored four goals on their first five shots.

Christian Byrd notched the natural hat trick to begin the second half to push the Ohio County lead to 8-0.

Angel Sandria, who scored 22 goals last year, ended the match in the 61st minute with his lone goal of the game and Ohio County’s 10th of the match.

Ohio County’s defense held Trigg County to just two shots.

It was only the second time the schools had met on the soccer field. The previous matchup ended in a tie in 2019.

Trigg County (1-3) will play at Lyon County Monday.
