Make it five wins in a row now for the Todd County Central Lady Rebels. The Lady Rebels made quick work of Muhlenberg County Thursday night, winning in straight sets on their home court.
The Lady Rebels set the tone early in the match. Todd Central cruised to a 25-7 win in the opening set to go up 1-0.
The Lady Mustangs put up a bit more of a fight in the second set, but it was nowhere near enough. The Lady Rebels took the second 25-14 to go up two sets to none in the match.
There would be no comeback in this match for Muhlenberg County. Todd County Central settled things quickly in the third set, taking it 25-10 and closing out the match three sets to none.
The “Trio of L” was a force for Todd Central at the net. Lucy Chester, Lanie Bivins, and Lynnlee Jones, all had six kills. Chester added six service aces. Addileigh Wofford was again the table setter for her teammates with 16 assists. She also had three kills.
The Lady Rebels now stand at 5-1 on the season. They get back to action Saturday as they host Caldwell County and Owensboro Catholic.
