Trigg County picked up a pair of wins Saturday at Boots Randolph Golf Course. Trigg County shot a team score of 310 to claim the Trigg County Invitational. The tournament also served as the Class 2A Sectional with the Wildcats qualifying for the Class 2A State Tournament.
Ty Butts and Hunter Reynolds each shot a 1-over par 72 to tie for second place. Butts finished his round with three straight birdies, while Reynolds birdied No. 18.
Henderson County’s Josh Thompson shot a 2-under 69 to take first place.
Haydon Reynolds shot a 79 for Trigg County. Trevor Terrell added an 89, and Mac McCormick shot a 99.
Crittenden County shot a 321 to finish in second place, 11 shots behind Trigg County.
Trigg County will play in the Class 2A State Tournament on September 12 at the Owensboro Country Club.
