Consistent excellence would be the best way to describe how the Todd County Central Lady Rebels performed on the volleyball court Tuesday evening. The Lady Rebels took a straight-set district win over the Russellville Lady Panthers, winning each of the three sets by identical 25-5 scores.
The Lady Rebels took control of each set in the opening moments and never looked back in rolling to the win. The Lady Rebels have now won eight straight matches and 21 straight sets.
That streak will be tested next week as they get their return match against district rival Logan County, a team the Lady Rebels will be looking to beat for the first time next Tuesday night in Elkton.
The “Three L’s” led the way on the attack for the Lady Rebels. Lucy Chester (7), Lynnlee Jones (6), and Lanie Bivins (4) combined to generate 17 kills for Todd Central.
Addileigh Wofford finished the night with 17 assists.
With the win, the Lady Rebels improve to 8-1 on the season. They now get ready for a big 13th District battle next Tueday when they host Logan County.
