Mother nature didn’t cooperate on Saturday at the Lady Colonel Showcase, wreaking havoc with the schedule and making playing conditions difficult at the Stadium of Champions.

The host Christian County Lady Colonels managed to get two matches played, or one and a half, to be more specific.  They opened the day with a 4-0 loss to Owensboro that lasted just a few minutes into the second half before being waved off due to rain and lightning.

The Lady Colonels had more luck with the weather in their second game of the day, but the Cooper Lady Jaguars were anything but accommodating.

Cooper led 5-0 at the half behind a hat trick from Cadence Flamm.  Flamm added another goal after the break, and a Lady Colonel own goal ended the match with just over 20 minutes left on the clock.

Christian County slips to 1-6-1 and will be back on its home field on Tuesday for a visit from Calloway County.
