
The UHA Lady Blazers will be the top seed when the 8th District volleyball tournament gets underway in a couple of weeks. The Lady Blazers secured the top slot with a straight-set win at Hopkinsville Tuesday night.
The Lady Blazers controlled Tuesday night’s match from the opening point. UHA rolled to a 25-10 win in the opening set to go up 1-0.
The second set was more of the same. UHA rolled past the Lady Tigers 25-14 to go up two sets to none.
The third set was a bit tighter, but still, the Lady Blazers cruised through, taking the set 25-16 to close out the sweep in the match.
The Lady Blazers finished the match with 21 service aces and 30 kills.
UHA improves to 21-9. They return to action this weekend in the annual Quad State Tournament in Paducah.
Hopkinsville falls to 3-13. The Lady Tigers also return to action this weekend at the Quad State event.
