Junior Alice Smith returns to the Lady Lyon lineup after scoring 39 goals last season.

In a big Senior Night win for Lyon County’s girls, it was sophomore Alice Smith who scored six goals and had an assist.

Senior Abbeni Jones scored her first career goal as the Lady Lyons rolled past Mayfield 11-1 Tuesday in Eddyville.

Junior Olivia Adams added two goals, including the game-ending tally in the 60th minute as Lyon (8-10) reached the 10-goal mercy rule.

Anna White had a goal and an assist while Mary Davis added a goal and Kyndal Hubbard had an assist for the Lady Lyons.

Smith scored her first goal of the game on a loose ball in front of the Mayfield net in the 7th minute.

She would score four more times as Lyon built a 7-1 lead by halftime, finding the net in the 16th, 22nd, 30th and 37th minutes.

White’s goal came in the 17th minute while Jones found the net in the 31st minute with help from Smith.

The Lady Lyons held a 37-1 advantage in shots in the contest.

However, Mayfield (0-12) made good on its one attempt, with Vannesa Pastor scoring in the 29th minute.

After the break, Davis scored on a long free kick in the 46th minute, then Smith netted her sixth goal in the 47th minute.

Adams scored the game’s final two goals — in the 49th and 60th minutes.

The Lady Lyons will finish the regular season on Thursday at longtime rival Caldwell County.

The 5th District tournament will be played next week at Crittenden County.
