The St. Mary Lady Vikings have been playing much better as of late, and that was bad news for the Trigg County Lady Wildcats on the volleyball court Thursday night. Trigg County traveled to Paducah last night and saw St. Mary take the straight-set win.
The opening set of the match was all Lady Vikings. St. Mary took the set 25-6 to go up one set to none in the match.
The Lady Wildcats played their best volleyball of the night in the second set, but still saw the Lady Vikings find the way to get the win 25-21 to go up two sets to none.
The third set was much like the opening set. St. Mary cruised through the set 25-9 to complete the sweep, three sets to none.
The win for the Lady Vikings was the seventh in their last eight matches.
Trigg County falls to 1-27 with the loss. The Lady Wildcats get back to action Tuesday night when they host Union County.
