The Todd County Central girls’ soccer team kept a clean sheet for the sixth time this season on Monday in its 13th-District tournament opener, making a single first-half goal stand up in a 1-0 win over Russellville to advance to Tuesday’s final at Franklin-Simpson.

Ciara Collins provided the match’s only goal when she found the back of the net off an assist from Hannah Oliver with just over three minutes left in the 1st half.

Collins bagged her 10th goal of the season and Oliver took her team-leading assist total to 20.

The Lady Rebel defense did the rest, with goalkeeper Darby Delph making five saves to preserve the shutout.

Todd Central advances to the district title game for the second straight season in search of a first championship since 2017.  The Lady Rebels will face Logan County on Tuesday after the Lady Cougars knocked off Franklin-Simpson 2-1.

The teams split during the regular season, with Logan winning 2-1 in double-overtime at home and Todd Central prevailing 1-0 in Elkton.
