It’s been a while since Kentucky suffered a loss as frustrating as Saturday night’s against South Carolina. With Will Levis injured and watching from the sideline, the Wildcats fell 24-14 to a Gamecocks team that had not yet won a game in Southeastern Conference play. Kentucky looked unprepared and inconsistent for the second consecutive game, resulting in a second consecutive loss. Head coach Mark Stoops said during his postgame press conference that the Wildcats have to regroup in a hurry, and he couldn’t be more right. Mississippi State is coming off back to back 40+ points wins and will challenge the Kentucky defense. If the Wildcats struggle to move the football, it could result in another long night for Kentucky fans. Saturday’s game is set to kickoff at 7:30 EDT with television coverage on SEC Network.
