Kentucky bounced back with a tally in the win column after a 21-17 defeat of the Missouri Tigers on Saturday. After beginning the season 4-0 and ranked No. 7 in the Associated Press poll, the Wildcats had only won one game over their last four and had quickly fallen out of the AP poll rankings. What many thought was going to be a double-digit win season quickly took a wrong turn.
Special teams issues, poor play-calling and not completely executing in any phase of the game had cost the team that opportunity. While there were still some of this issues lingering on Saturday, the Wildcats were able to capitalize in the red zone and make play plays late in the game on both defense as well as special teams to close out the win.
