Three University Heights Academy cross country runners were named to the Class 1A Area 1 Team.
Cole Glover, a sophomore, had four top-five finishes with a season-best third place at the region meet. He ran a personal best time of 16:28 at the Daviess County Classic.
Glover capped his season with a 42nd-place finish at the state meet.
He was named to the Area 1 Second Team, made up of all classes, and the Class 1A All-Area team.
Meanwhile, a pair of Blazer runners in their first season on the cross country course were both named to the Class 1A All-Area Team.
Senior Cam Brown knocked over four minutes off his time throughout the season. He finished 10th at the region meet and 90th at the state meet, running 14 seconds faster than the previous week at region.
Fellow senior Trey Wallace also showed marked improvement throughout the year. He knocked over nine minutes off his time from his first meet in mid-September. Wallace finished in ninth place at the region meet and 101st at the state meet.
