Lady Lyons Bring Home 74-54 Victory from Ohio County

Lyon County’s girls traveled out of the 2nd Region on Tuesday but brought home a 74-54 victory from Ohio County.

Trinity Taylor had 25 points for the Lady Lyons, who built a 34-27 halftime lead before stretching the margin to 20 points in the second half.

Piper Cotham added 15 points and Courtney Collins had 11 as Lyon improved to 4-8. Lexi Holland and Ella Defew each had eight points while Lilly Perry finished with seven.

Camryn Kennedy led the 3rd Region school with 12 points while Emerson Gray added 11.

The Lady Eagles are now 3-8.

Lyon made hay at the free throw line, going 20 of 28 in the contest, including 16 of 19 in the second half.

Ohio was 7 of 12 at the charity stripe.

In was the seventh straight loss for the Lady Eagles, who opened the season 3-1.

Next up for Lyon is a trip to Livingston Central on Friday for 5th District action.
