
The Caldwell County Tiger basketball team ran into a strong Marshall County squad Tuesday night at the Community Activities Building gym.
The visiting Marshals scored the first seven points of the night, led 23-6 after one quarter and 39-15 at halftime on the way to a 69-31 victory over the Tigers.
Alex Staples led Marshall with 13 points. Trey Wall had 12.
Cade Rowland hit three 3-pointers and finished with a team-high nine points for the Tigers. Jaydarius Wilson added six points and eight rebounds.
Marshall is now 14-4 while Caldwell is 3-11.
The Tigers will play at the CAB again on Thursday. The Tigers and Lady Tigers both host Hopkins County Central for a 7th District girls and boys varsity doubleheader that night.
