
While much attention has been placed on Travis Perry’s pursuit of Kentucky’s all-time scoring mark, the region has produced several players that have topped 1,000 career points – including three in the last week.
Lyon County’s Jack Reddick scored 25 points in the Lyons’ win at Webster County Tuesday and finished the game with 1,001 career points.
Christian County’s Jordan Miles reached the milestone in Saturday’s win over Castle, Ind., and Crittenden County’s Travis Champion topped 1,000 points during the All A Classic region tournament.
Other players in the region who have reached the 1,000-point milestone this season are Lyon County’s Brady Shoulders, Trigg County’s Jhaden Vaughn, Crittenden County’s Preston Morgeson, and Henderson County’s Gerard Thomas.
Perry, a junior, has 3,800 career points after a 35-point performance at Webster County Tuesday.
Madisonville’s Marcus Eaves (1,589) and Union County’s Izaiah Manuel (1,530) topped the 1,000-point mark last year.
Hopkinsville’s Bubba Leavell (829) and Christian County’s Derrell Bateman (810) also have outside shots at reaching 1,000 points this year.
