Hopkins County Central entered Thursday night’s 7th District tilt at Caldwell County as the No. 2-ranked team in the 2nd Region.

Hopkins Central, now 14-5 overall and 3-0 in the district, led 19-9 after one quarter and maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the night.

Caldwell (4-12, 1-1) was still within 29-19 at halftime, but the Lady Tigers could not make a run after the break.
