The bowling teams of Christian County High and Hopkinsville High School met Saturday at Southern Lanes for one final tune-up before next weekend’s region tournament in Paducah.
Hopkinsville’s John Stewart had the top score of the day with a 258, which was a personal best. He also rolled a 607 series which was also a personal best for three games.
Christian County’s Leonard Pettit topped 200 with a 223 in his final game of the day, and Aiden Lewis also topped 200 with a 213 in his second game of the day.
For the ladies, Hopkinsville’s Ruby Duskey almost topped 200 with a 196 in her second game of the day. Christian County’s Alaina Lee rolled a 155 and Jasmine Beckwith had a 149.
In the team standings, the top four series scores for Christian County was 2,025 compared to 1,829 for Hopkinsville.
For the ladies, the top three series scores were totaled and showed Hopkinsville with an eight-pin win over Hopkinsville 1,050-1,042.
The Region I Tournament is hosted by Paducah Tilghman and will be held at Cardinal Lanes in Paducah on Friday and Saturday.
Region I teams are Apollo, Barren County, Bowling Green, Caverna, Christian County, Community Christian, Daviess County, Glasgow, Graves County, Greenwood, Henderson County, McCracken County, Ohio County, Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic, Paducah Tilghman, South Warren, Warren Central, and Warren East.
