A member of the Todd County Central baseball team will be getting the chance to continue his athletic and educational career on the collegiate level. According to a social media post, senior Jacob Brandon announced this week that he was committing to Southwest Tennessee Community College, in Memphis.
Brandon is expected to be a part of the Saluqis pitching staff when he arrives on campus.
During his junior season at Todd County Central in 2022, Brandon was 6-0 on the mound with a 3.17 ERA. He had 49 strikeouts in 35 1/3-innings pitched.
At the plate, Brandon hit .326 with 4 doubles, s6 triples, and 20 RBIs.
In his sophomore season of 2021, Brandon was 6-3 with one save and had an ERA of 1.67. He had 66 strikeouts in 42 innings.
That season Brandon hit .390 with 6 doubles, 1 triple, and had 30 RBIs.
