With five Christian County teams celebrating Senior Night to go along with Homecoming Festivities on Thursday night, the Colonels capped the occasion in style with a 73-32 victory over visiting Fort Campbell.
Seniors George Sanders, KJ Vaughn, and Trey Blanton were honored ahead of the game, and Sanders and Vaughn combined for nine first-quarter points to get the Colonels started.
Derrell Bateman dominated proceedings early on, scoring all his game-high 21 points in the first half and throwing down five dunks. The Colonels led 23-11 after the opening quarter and took a 47-15 advantage into the halftime break.
Sanders scored ten points in the third on the way to 19 for the game, including a pair of free throws to trigger a running clock at 51-15 with less than a minute played in the second half.
The 41-point margin of victory is the largest for the Colonels this season. They outrebounded the Falcons 47-25, including 23 on the offensive glass.
