
The Fort Campbell girls’ swim team finished in third place at Saturday’s Region I Championship, equaling its program-best finish from a year ago.
The Lady Falcons totaled 221 points to finish seven points ahead of fourth-place Madisonville.
Fort Campbell didn’t have any automatic qualifiers although some finished close to receiving an at-large berth for the state meet. The 16 fastest times from across the state that didn’t finish as winner or runner-up in the region will advance to state.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Ava Roberts, Jinny Joo, Sunny Joo, and Leanne Archbell finished in fourth place in 2:12.78.
The 200-yard free relay team of Leanne Archbell, Jinny Joo, Anika Weisbrich, and Alexsa Hoffman finished in fifth place in 2:00.84.
The 400-yard free relay team of Ava Roberts, Anika Weisbrich, Sunny Joo, and Alexsa Hoffman finished in sixth place in 4:41.78.
Leanna Archbell finished in fourth place in the 200-yard IM in 2:38.46 and 5th place in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:30.97.
Alexsa Hoffman placed fifth in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:38.64 and was ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:24.42.
Sunny Joo finished in fifth place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:17.29 and was eighth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:20.28.
Jinny Joo came in eighth place in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:15.10 and 10th place in the 50-yard freestyle in 30.31.
Ava Roberts finished seventh in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:18.11 and came in 12th place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:08.41.
Lydia Weisbrich came in 7th place in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:32.40 and finished in 12th place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:55.74.
Anika Weisbrich was 12th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:33.79 and finished in 14th place in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:09.29.
