Kentucky saw another conference loss on Thursday night, falling 72-65 to Alabama.
Jada Walker led the way on offense by scoring 15 points, but it required taking 16 shots to do so. Robyn Benton scored 14 with four made three-pointers, but also failed to shoot the ball well by going 5-14 from the floor.
Kentucky plays hard in every game they see the court. They just can’t seem to score enough points and, at the same time, give up too many points to win.
Therefore, when looking at the data, defense appears to be the problem for Kentucky. They’ve given up more than 70 points in eight of their 11 SEC games so far this season.
So if their own offense isn’t clicking, it’s a real challenge for UK to win games.
The Lady Wildcats have played 10 games this calendar year and are just 2-8 during that stretch.
They’ll be on the road when they next take the court with a visit to Ole Miss on Monday.
