
Aidan Blaszkowski and Maurice Moore each had 24 points for Fort Campbell, but the Falcons were bested by a pair of big performances by Butler County.
Ty Price scored 39 points and Lawson Rice had 25 points and 10 rebounds as the homestanding Bears turned away the Falcons 87-65 Monday night in Morgantown.
Price was 15 of 30 from the field while pushing his scoring average to 31 points game this season.
Fort Campbell (4-18) was still within 19-13 after one quarter.
But Butler (19-9) opened things up in the second period. The Bears used a 26-12 lead in that stanza to open up a 45-25 lead at halftime.
Butler only outscored Fort Campbell by two points, 42-40, in the second half, but the Falcons could not put a dent in the Bears’ first-half advantage.
Luke Laughing added eight points and nine points for Butler.
John Arnold scored eight points for Fort Campbell.
The Falcons return home on Thursday to host Community Christian Academy of Paducah.
