Lady Bears Claw Their Way Past Fort Campbell

Struggling to score in the middle two quarters of the game would end up costing the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons Tuesday night. Butler County limited the Lady Falcons to just four field goals and ten points in the second and third quarters combined and that allowed the Lady Bears to build a big lead and roll to a 59-27 win.

Fort Campbell trailed just 13-7 after the opening quarter. The Lady Falcons would be limited to two made field goals in the second quarter as Butler County extended the lead out to 28-11 at the half.

The offensive struggles continued as the second half got started. The Butler County defense held the Lady Falcons to two field goals and two made free throws in the third quarter as the lead grew to 46-17.

Butler County reserves saw much of the action in the final quarter as the Lady Bears pushed on out to the final 32-point margin.

Fort Campbell was paced by Charlize Cruz with 13 points. Rosella Rajj finished the game with 9 points.

Butler County was led by Jenna Phelps with 12 points. Addison Miller ended up with 9 points.

Fort Campbell drops to 2-18 with the loss. The Lady Falcons will be back in action Thursday night when they host Community Christian.
