Playing without injured second-leading scorer Jack Reddick on Tuesday, the Lyon County Lyons got a 43-point performance from Travis Perry to turn back a spirited effort from visiting Trinity (Whitesville) 75-55.

The Lyons ran their winning streak to ten ahead of Thursday’s regular-season finale at Dawson Springs.  Trinity saw a three-game win streak come to an end to slip to 14-14.

Perry scored the first nine points of the game on the way to 14 in the first quarter, and the Lyons led 18-11.

Landon Huff got going in the paint with 10 points in the second for Trinity, and Nolan Mills added seven for the Raiders.  The Lyons led by 11 after a Perry layup with 1:06 left in the half, but a 7-2 spurt, capped by Hayden Aull’s three-pointer just ahead of the buzzer, made it 39-33 at halftime.

The Raiders hung around in the third, twice closing to within four points on triples by Nathan Hernandez and Mills.  Perry closed the frame with a layup off a steal for a 55-49 Lyon lead.

Perry powered the Lyons’ knockout punch, scoring the first four points of the fourth quarter and closing the show with eight straight to finish with 18 points over the final eight minutes.

Brady Shoulders scored 15, and Bray Kirk finished with ten to join Perry in double figures.

For the Raiders, Hernandez and Huff each scored 14, and Mills finished with 13.
