The Christian County Lady Colonels used a strong pitching performance from Gracie Harned to end a three-game losing skid Monday evening. Harned struck out twelve as the Lady Colonels traveled to Murray and came away with a 3-0 win over the Calloway County Lady Lakers.
‘
Harned’s dominance was such that the Lady Lakers never really threatened to score until the bottom of the seventh inning when Bailee Grogan hit a two-out triple. But Harned then honed in and got a strikeout to close out the game.
The Lady Colonels took the lead in the game when Allie Houchens came up with an RBI single in the third to put Christian County up 1-0.

The lead grew to 2-0 in the top of the fifth when Karlee Crick drove in Avery Adcock with a sac fly. An RBI double in the top of the sixth from Saniya Shields finished the scoring for Christian County (4-3).
Karlee Crick was 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Avery Adcock was 1-4 with a run scored.
In the circle, Harned went all seven innings, giving up no runs on four hits, striking out 12 while walking none.
